What Our Fantastic Volunteers Say

I have always been aware of the importance of mental health in a person's life. Although it's a stigma in our society it's absolutely imperative to take care of oneself and his friends and family.

Lifeline has come as a wonderful opportunity for me to learn to be unbiased, unjudgemental and non critical. We can do our bit in the society just by listening to someone and be empathetic.

Apart from the rigorous training, internship (under the watchful eyes of  mentors), strict process adherence and careful handholding; what blew me away was the dedication level of volunteers.

When I had my first difficult call, wherein I accomplished to dissuade an individual from taking his own life; did I realize the sense of fulfilment that makes volunteers stick to this Organization.

At Lifeline, I understood how effectively one could be trained to befriend and listen to the voice, deep down within a troubled human mind. That listening to a caller in distress is therapeutic for him. That empathetic listening could slowly and surely pull back a devastated person, from the edge.

The "if’s" of life indeed hang on to a very fine thread. Trials and tribulations often threaten to whiff off the will to live. Lifeline is just a call away.
